Events

Educated Partier Program Training Session

Officer Green and Assistant Dean of Off-Campus Student Life, Kimberly Gilkey-Wall were in attendance, providing 10 new EPP houses with important safety information and procedures regarding safe partying. See below for more information on EPP!

Last Lecture

Every quarter, an SCU professor will give a lecture as if it is their last. They often share advice, inspiring stories, and tales of passion. These events are unique opportunities to learn more about something you may be unfamiliar with as well as gain insights into this crazy thing we call life.

NURC Meeting

These are town hall style meetings where neighbors and students are given an opportunity to express concerns about off-campus living to city officials and SCU administration.

Tailgate

In November 2017, Community Development hosted the Red Out Tailgate before the men's basketball season home opener. To provide the best experience for the students, we had a student DJ, Ruff Riders, donations from Red Bull and the local Mission City Creamery, and, of course, Bucky the Bronco present. The event proved to be a success when the students started dancing in the middle of the lawn and the seats were filled as they supported their fellow Broncos. Keep your eyes out for more tailgates in the near future!

Walk About

On the first Saturday of Week 1, ASG and the SCPD went door to door, visiting off-campus houses giving them information packets about living off-campus and providing students the opportunity to ask Police Officers any questions they have about rules and regulations they are unsure of. Campus Sustainability was also handing out flyers to advertise simple ways to be more green while living off-campus.

Welcome to Finals: WTF

WTF is a collaboration with APB and the Student Alumni Association that supports students during finals week with events such as: Primal Scream, Midnight Breakfast, and Bagels and Green Books.
